  • Manifest File for Whole Genome Sequencing

    Hi,

I've been looking for the PCR regions or 'manifest file' for a whole genome sequencing kit? In an example there hundreds of WGS in 1000G project. They provide also exomes with BED files of targets. But there is no such info for genomes. Is there any thing that I missed? Is there a kit for whole genome sequencing and so its manifest file; or WGS is entirely different process than WES?

As a summary where do I find manifest like file for illumina's WGS or ex. 1000G project's?

    Hi ,

I think the "BED files" for WGS you are looking is the genome reference used to align the reads.
    Best,

As you are interessted in the whole genome sequence you wouldn't find any manifest file for WGS. The manifestfile defines the region to be analyzed after you received your fastq files. So in WGS you say: "Compare to the complete reference genome".

        Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
        by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
