  • EZ bead Bubbles after transfering emulsion

    Hello all,

I performed my first E80 yesterday. I had several bubbles form around the upper triangle piece when I was transferring the emulsion to the amplifier pouch. Despite nearly an hour of trying I was not able to eliminate them all.

After amplification I can see a small number of broken reactors in the form of speckling at the corner of the bag at the bottom of the pouch . I am wondering if others have experienced this and what they may do to eliminate this problem?

Also if you have experienced this does it kill your run?

I will post once I know the results of my wfa... the e10 scale I performed on this library looked beautiful though.

ok so I now know why no one replied wfa looked ok.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
