  • (Newbie)Human RNA Project?

    Hi everyone

Has Homo Sapien Sapiens RNA ever been sequenced fully? Male or Female?

I was doing brain experiments and thought experiments and wondering about the following

Can you take a paternity check to find out who your mother and father and siblings are
& a maternity check to find out who your soulmate are is

I know biologists say there is no soulmate

I would appreciate it if some gives me an answer without bashing me for using the word soulmate

Wouldnt it become as obvious as the paternity check if rna were sequenced fully?

I am currently reading Dr Venters Life at the speed of light

    Thanks for helping me out

There have been thousands (likely tens or hundreds of thousands) of RNAseq experiments with human samples. So yes, the human transcriptome has been sequeunced many many many many times.

A paternity test will determine if someone is likely to be your father. A maternity test is equivalent for your mother. No such test exists for a soulmate because that has no definition (and even if it did, sequencing would be a really crappy way to go about things).

Sequencing a transcriptome will never tell you how compatable two people will be in a relationship. You'd be better off with surveys and dating.

        Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
        by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

        Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
        by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
