Has anyone been able to get the raw Illumina reads from 23andme?
I have asked repeatedly about this and just get a runaround answer. Are we not entitled to the raw data to do our own analysis, instead of just getting their list of genotype calls? As FDA looks into regulating the DTC genotyping sector, I am advocating that the vendors be required to release the raw data to the subject. What do you think? - Ron

My understanding is they are using chip technology and therefore there are no illumina reads. I suppose you could ask for the raw chip data.

I would have loved to get the probe intensities (assuming you mean your SNP chip, not the recent exome data), but they denied me too. I would love to hear if others were able to get rawer data.

yes, I mean the Illumina OmniExpress Plus latest chip raw data. Are they even offering the exome product yet?
