Hi, I've just started trying out the WSDL web services and I'm trying to implement a workflow for the NCBI Blastn web service.
I know the contigs that I want to blast are available and on the nt database however, I keep getting incorrect database errors when trying to run. The only documentation I can find on the database abbreviations of NCBI have been less than useful, but I thought nt would be pretty straight forward. Following this large problem, I set up an alternative by downloading the whole nt database from NCBI and ran a blastall on an AWS instance, which took over an hour and a half for a single contig. So I'm struggling to be honest and would appreciate anyone's insight or suggestions. thanks for reading! ![]() |
