Hi everybody,

I would like to add PhyoP-scores to my SNVs (organism: mouse). I downloaded the following annotations:

But what is the exact meaning of these scores? I know, that the larger the score the larger is the conservation at that position. But what is the exact range of the PhyloP scores and what is a good threshold for conservation?

Are the phyloP60way files OK to check the conservation or would you recommend any other files?

I found on the UCSC hompage, that the range is between -20 and 7.528. But I still don't know, when a score is called conserved and if there are better possibilities to decide the conservation
