Default EMBOSS help

Hi,

Looks like main EMBOSS server has problems, I cannot downolad the install package using links on EMBOSS homepage. someone from support@ebi.ac.uk responded that they do have problems. Web interface also looks inoperative. Did anyone have archived the latest tarball EMBOSS-6.4.0.tar.gz I can use? That would be very helpful...

Hi,

You can fetch it from the Debian project.

http://packages-powell.debian.org/fr/sid/emboss

http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool....0.orig.tar.gz

(79.5 MB)

Glad you found a source OK Vladimir. I didn't make it clear in my first response from support, but EMBOSS isn't part of EMBL-EBI so we don't know any more than you do about why it's currently down!

I've emailed Vladimir a link to our copy of 6.5.0.

Regards,

Andrew
