Lightbulb How to convert old SOLEXA files to fastq?

Hi all,

I have some data in the old Solexa format, where there are a bunch of files in compressed form. There are .seq.txt and .prb files. Would it be possible to to convert these files to the oft-used fastq format. I would like to do this because the new data we are generating will be in fastq format, and i want to compare these data.

Best

Dear Sameet,
There is a nice software maq.

I guess fq_all2std.pl script could solve your issue.

A current and simple option may be to use "trimmomatic": http://www.usadellab.org/cms/?page=trimmomatic
