Collect Metrics on known and unknown assemblies

Hi everybody,

I have a question to ask about a trivial problem I can't solve.

I am looking for collecting several informations about known assemblies available from ensEMBL

For example, I'd like to know for a genome assembly, the number of genes, exons, introns, and the average length of UTRs

Is there a tool that can suit me or do I have to do something in particular?

Also, I need for a temporary assembly to know the numbe rof scaffolds and the average length of the contigs: do I need to make a script for it or there's an easier way to find that?
