Hi..
I would like to know if there is any mechanism for mapping a taxonomy id to a superkingdom from among {Archaea, Bacteria, Eukaryota} . It should be an easy mechanism, however I don't find anything relevant in internet. I am interested to get this in a programmatic way but also a database would solve.
For example, eutilities provide a way to find the taxonomy id from the gi number here: http://eutils.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entre...omy&id=1346136
Is there any way to get more broad using this script or any other script?
Thanks
