Default longer insert size vs cluster generation?

Hi, everyone, I am doing cluster generation with longer fragment (600-700bp), while the insert size is about 450-550bp. The sample final consistency is 9pM using Qubit, and is single and clear (with the expected 700K/mm2), however the cluster density is very low (<100K/mm2), and about <50,000 clusters. In this run, the phix contol is used and OK. Does the longer fragment result in low cluster density?

how long is the fragment you used in cluster generation?

If I want to seq the longer fragment, can you give some suggestions?

thanks.
