  • RiboCop - An efficient way of rRNA depletion by Lexogen

Lexogen is happy to announce release of a new RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kit. This is a very cost efficient protocol for elimination of cytoplasmic as well as mitochondrial ribosomal RNA from human, mouse and rat samples. RiboCop has very simple workflow and does not require any enzymatic reactions. Obtained total RNA is ready for NGS library preparation.

    RiboCop has been upgraded!

Several months ago we successfully launched the RiboCop kit for depletion of cytoplasmic and mitochondrial ribosomal RNA in Human, Mouse and Rat samples. In this short period, the protocol has brought a lot of positive feedback from users due to its high efficiency, simplicity and cost saving features. Moreover, some of our customers had special technical requests which they asked us to implement into the existing protocol for excelling their experiments. We have accommodated the major wishes and we are happy to release the new version of RiboCop under the name RiboCop V1.2.

As usual, we will keep advancing our products to meet all your needs!

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
