  • Evolutionary conserved sequences

Hello Everyone,I am looking for Evolutionary conserved sequences in vertebrates around my gene of intrest from Human.
I had been using ECR Browser (http://ecrbrowser.dcode.org/) for it.
It is still based on Hg 18 assembly.

So I would like to know of other alternative approach or a tool based on Hg 19 which has got good display and sequence retrieval system.
Or would it really make a big difference using Hg 18 or hg 19 assembly.

How to do the same on UCSC browser..?

May be If this can be solved by some programming approach.

    Please help me out.

The UCSC Genome Browser has several tracks for analyzing conservation across species, look in the in particular the "Comparative Genomics" tracks near the bottom. There are many options within some of those tracks to be sure to check them out.

      Thanks
for the information,Well I even want to compare the conserved sequences with the CHIP seq data,Which is publickly available so that I can get the coordinates for them and the peaks,

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
        by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

        Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
        by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
