microrna and small rna library prep for ion Torrent v. miseq

We are interested in deep sequencing of the small/microRNA and wandering on decision which platform to select - Ion Torrent or MiSeq. Can anyone help us with a comment on a library preparation for small RNA sequencing for both platforms. What is better/cheaper/quicker/more "sample efficient" (less input material/total RNA required)? My understanding is that Ion Torrent protocol can avoid gel extraction – is there really a great advantage over MiSeq protocol? Thanks in advance for your tips.
