  • genewise2-4-1(or wise2-4-1) and EVM

I used genewise to alignt a protein set to a genome which I assembled, and I got a GFF3 file. I want to use this GFF3 file to run my EVM, but the GFF3 file I got is different from the test GFF3 file in EVM example folder. How can I get the useable gff3 file from genewise to complete my EVM?

the GFF3 file that I get from genewise:
    scaffold_0 GeneWise match 291215 288814 249.48 - . scaffold_0-genewise-prediction-1
    scaffold_0 GeneWise cds 291215 291015 0.00 - 0 scaffold_0-genewise-prediction-1
    scaffold_0 GeneWise intron 291014 290841 0.00 - . scaffold_0-genewise-prediction-1

the GFF3 file in EVM example folder:
    9390 9557 . - . ID=match.genewise.nr_minus_rice.fasta.1152536;Target=GB|AAX11684.1|59896631|AY766462 336 2438

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
