Hey all,
It's been several years since I last logged in and several years since I've been involved in sequencing. I'm curious how things have progressed in the last handful of years. Is there any good recent review article, blog, or equivalent that discusses how much progress has been made in recent years? Like, are there any new technologies, how much have prior technologies such as Illumina progressed regarding length of reads, number or reads per lane, cost for sequencing, etc? Any big improvements with respect to analyzing data sets?
One could easily argue I am being lazy in asking this question; I certainly don't expect anyone to spend a long time replying but if anyone has good links I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
