Default Bioconductor for next-gen sequencing anlaysis?

A new project to develop the R statistical language for the analysis of next-gen sequencing has just been announced by members of the Bioconductor group. Plans are at an early stage and there is no solid info yet.

They have started a mailing list at:

https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinf...sig-sequencing

and they are looking for potential users and developers to come aboard.

That looks pretty impressive.
