SPRI bead for PCR cleanup in illumina pair end library preparation

Hi everybody,

I am preparing 300bp and 600bp illumina pair end library. Can anybody please let me know which SPRI beads and in what concentration should I use for cleaning up the PCR product in the end step. Thanks for the help.

1.8x volume should be good enough to get rid of <100bp fragments. 1x volume is good for <200bp. I have heard of different lots of SPRI beads giving different break points so YMMV. It shouldn't take any time to try out different volumes on some 100bp ladder, which is what we do.
