Dear users,
I have joined SEQanswers today and would like to introduce myself.
I have recently started working at a NGS core facility as scientific head, which involves a lot of troubleshooting.
Besides diagnostics we do research into human diseases and collaborate with researchers from different fields. We therefore get DNA and RNA from different species and materials. We have Illumina sequencers, but use kits from different companies for sample and library preps. For nucleic acid quantification we use different machines depending on our needs (Bioanalyzer, TapeStation, Qubit, Nanodrop).
Training:
Master in Biology (Genetics, Botany, Communications Sciences)
PhD in Human Biology (cancer research)
1. Postdoc in a comprehensive cancer center
2. Postdoc at a university clinic (Human Genetics)
I hope to expand and my knowledge and contribute what I have learned.
Best regards
DarkStar
