Hi,
Just wondering why index preloading (the -P param. for sampe) is not available for SOLiD reads? I know index preloading is only available for high-RAM systems so I'm guessing there's something about SOLiD reads that ensures a 'sampe' run takes much more RAM than with Illumina.
I read the paper on BWA and it mentions needing to colour-decode the sequences after pairing but it seems like this wouldn't take much RAM... can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks!
