    Hello everyone,
Can I use the Nextera XT kit 96 index with TRuseq RNA ?
Basically my question is: can i use these Nextera XT dNA indices, with rNA as starting material? these are the only index kit sold separately by Illumina
As why I want to do so, a long explanation, and by the way I usually prep 70-80 samples
Or if anyone knows of any good 96 unique indices preferably 6 nt please let me know, I do know of Bioo by the way. And again for RNAseq
    Thanks a lot in advance

You need adapters for ligation to ds-cDNA. Nextera index kit contains only oligos. Other option is NEBNext Multiplex Oligos for Illumina. NEB supplies 24 single index and for higher indexing one have to use dual indexing primers.

Thank you very much for the reply. I did not know Nextera contains only oilgos
NEB wont work for me as I need Y shaped adapters that can be ligated as in the Truseq protocol, or others. NEB ones are PCR generated
      Thanks

        Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
        by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

        Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
        by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
