    SOLID emulsion PCR using other than the ABI9700

    Is anyone using an MJ Tetrad to do their emulsion PCR?

    How is it working in comparison? Did you make any protocol changes?

    We have just started using the SOLID but with only one 9700 it is very slow. We would like to convert to our MJ Tetrads but as ABI hasn't validated them yet, we are wary of doing so.

    yes and no.

    you really have to test your MJ/Biorad to see how it performs. Ours work fine. My colleague has no luck. We could not find the variable, so it could be process/environment.
