  • CLIP-seq dataset

    Dear All,

I'm currently working on a HITS-CLIP project in our lab, and we wanted to do some comparison with previous projects. However, I just found out that I cannot find/download the datasets from two important papers (not available in SRA or their companion websites, tried to contact the authors but apparently they have left the institute).

    1. Comprehensive discovery of endogenous Argonaute binding sites in Caenorhabditis elegans
    2. Argonaute HITS-CLIP decodes microRNA-mRNA interaction maps.

Does anybody know where I can download these datasets / or have a local copy? thanks in advance.

    HITS-CLIP (PAR-CLIP, CLIP-Seq, iCLIP, CLASH) datasets.

You can download HITS-CLIP (PAR-CLIP, CLIP-Seq, iCLIP, CLASH) data from starBase download center (http://starbase.sysu.edu.cn/download.php).
It provides 108 HITS-CLIP datasets generated from various tissues or cell lines under different treatments in 37 independent studies.
It systematically identified the RNA-RNA and protein-RNA interaction networks from these HITS-CLIP data.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
