Hi! I'm trying to use human_g1k_v37 reference genome and I've download it in .gz format but when I try to extract it I get an error.
Is there a way to extract or to download it in uncrompress format? Or is there a way to uncompress it? Thank's |

Hello, PandoraMid.
When I tried to unzip the human_g1k_v37.fasta.gz file the same as yours, I got the following error. $ gzip -d human_g1k_v37.fasta.gz gzip: human_g1k_v37.fasta.gz: invalid compressed data--format violated In this case, I used the file. ftp://ftp-trace.ncbi.nih.gov/1000gen...k_v37.fasta.gz But I downloaded another file and tried it, and it was extracted without any problems. ftp://ftp.1000genomes.ebi.ac.uk/vol1...k_v37.fasta.gz I don't know exactly why, Please try the file from ftp.1000genomes.ebi.ac.uk. This file is well extracted. Last edited by hermes2014; 01-16-2021 at 10:33 PM. |
