Default Doubt with end repair step

Good morning,

My name is Miguel and I would like to ask you a question...

I am going to perform a try with several comercial beads to see wich one would have the best performance. I only want to analize the fragments with an electrophoresis, so I'm thinking in not do the end repair step, because I'm not going to prepare a library, only going to do the try I said.

Is it either the end repair step mandatory to obtain the results I expect to or could I avoid it because there is no differences to obtain fragments I will analize in electrophoresis?

Regards
