Which one is better 40 kHz vs 20 KHz sonicator?

40kHz creates a smaller cavitation bubble and results in lower intensity sonication. 40 has proven to be insufficient for most liquid processing applications. But its great for cleaning but not powerful enough to break cells or shear dna consistantly.
I'm assuming you are shearing dna/chromatin. 20kHz will be much more effective.
