Default Conversion of ChIP-Seq signal data into bed format

I have converted ChIP-Seq signal data into bed format. In the fifth column of the output file, there are some values in decimal fraction. Now I kinda know that those are the bed score but in my case what is represented by these bed scores? And can I use these values in my work?
