Default Accessing remote servers on biolinux 8

Hi All,

Ive recently downloaded Bio Linux to my PC and im having trouble finding how to map a remote server that we have at the institute so that I can access the relevant files there. Any ideas as to how you go about doing this on bio linux?

Thanks in advance

I assume you are referring to "mapping" a network share from the remote server? Since biolinux is based on Ubuntu see one of the two works:

cifs shares http://askubuntu.com/questions/46183...-network-drive
nfs shares https://www.howtoforge.com/nfs-server-on-ubuntu-14.10

You will need to take into account firewall settings (both local and remote) as you set this up.
