To whom it may concern,
You are cordially invited to submit a review article to the special issue of the OPEN BIOINFORMATICS JOURNAL without publication fee.
I served as an Associate Editor for the OPEN BIOINFORMATICS JOURNAL, an Open Access online journal which publishes research articles and letters in all areas of bioinformatics and computational biology.
Each year we publish a special hot-topic issue. For this year we plan a special hot-topic issue on “Bioinformatics and Genomics” to be published in May 2013 and I will serve as a Guest Editor. We hope to include manuscripts on
1. Applications of genomics technologies such as the next-generation sequencing or microarray.
2. Bioinformatics approaches that have been introduced in the data analysis of these genomics technologies.
3. Bioinformatics for DNA/protein sequence analysis such as feature selection and Pseudo Amino Acid Composition.
We would like to invite you to participate in our special issue with a review article (up to 4000 words, not including reference) on a topic of your choice for this special issue. Longer texts will also be considered if they fit the theme. Each manuscript will be independently refereed by at least two neutral eminent experts in the relevant field. There is NO publication fee for this special issue.
More information about our journal is shown here:
As example, please see our special issue on “Structure, Dynamics and Function - Dynamical Properties of Large Bio-Molecular Networks” in 2011
The deadline for sending the manuscripts for the theme issue will be January 15th, 2013 so that we can complete the review process and production in time for publication in May 2013.
Please let me know if you would kindly be willing to contribute a research manuscript or review, and suggest a tentative title. You will be able to later modify the title as long as the focus remains as originally suggested. You are welcomed to add up to 5 co-authors. I shall be pleased to clarify any further matters.
Thank you for kindly considering this invitation!
