Hello!
One of my more neglected duties is that I am on the editorial board of Briefings in Bioinformatics, a review journal from Oxford University Press. Skimming back through the last year, I see only one review explicitly on a next-gen sequencing topic (miRNA analysis). This is a void which should be filled!!! If you would be interested in writing a review on a topic area, such as assembly, epigenomics, variation analysis, etc. etc, please send me a private message with your contact information and a brief outline of what you might cover. We can build off from there. Don't think that because you don't have a publication record in that area that you shouldn't consider writing a review! This is an opportunity to establish such a presence. Of course, your submission will be very carefully read and checked, but as long as you can demonstrate authority in the field and the ability to translate that into a readable and informative review it should be publishable. |
