    St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Genome Sequencing Analyst II (Job Number 30617) in the Hartwell Center for Bioinformatics and Biotechnology.

    The Genome Sequencing Analyst II in the Hartwell Center Department assists in the operation of the laboratory by performing specialized tasks involving genome sequencing in an automated, high throughput environment. Shares responsibility for the set up and operation of various automated DNA sequencing machines. Responsible for basic molecular lab duties in a high throughput sequencing lab. Interacts with various research areas by providing sequencing expertise to augment ongoing research.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    A Bachelors of Science (BS) in biology, chemistry or life sciences or a Bachelors of Arts (BA) plus three (3) years of experience in a laboratory environment is required
    OR
    A Masters of Science (MS) in biology, chemistry or life sciences or Masters of Arts (MA) plus two (2) years of experience in a laboratory environment is required

    Preferred skills: Experience with DNA sequencing and molecular biology techniques is preferred. Prior experience using automated DNA sequencing instrumentation and software is also a plus.
