KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER for UK/IRL & BeNeLux for NGS/Genomics data analysis software solutions sales
Location: preferably greater London area, alternatively greater Amsterdam or Brussels area (home office based)

The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing and developing business from regional key customers and business partners, whilst also identifying and developing new business opportunities from other regional prospective customers, in the private and public sectors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate sales and reach or exceed quota for CLC bio products offerings from a portfolio of public and private sector accounts within the Northern European region, especially UK/IRL and BeNeLux countries.
• Interact with, and coordinate resources for account development activities from, an interdisciplinary account team comprised of field applications scientist, professional services consultants, sales specialists, and internal support and marketing personnel.
• Interact with clients and customers to develop and implement account specific business plans designed to grow CLC bio’s footprint in a concerted manner with annual and long term goals.
• Work with customers and CLC bio management to set budgets and revenue goals.
• Accurately represent and forecast short-term and long-term business opportunities with utmost integrity.
• Communicate market trends, customer requirements, and product development opportunities to CLC bio management via appropriate channels.
• Develop in-depth product and brand knowledge and the ability to sell highly technical bioinformatics solutions to bench scientists, bioinformaticians, IT professionals and client senior managers and executives.
• Maintain accurate and timely information in the company customer relationship management system.
• Prepare activity reports, forecasts, business plans and other required materials in a timely manner.
• Write customer specific proposals and respond to RFI/RFP’s.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• At least 8 years of field sales experience selling bioinformatics or NGS solutions with strong consideration given to candidates who have prior national or key account management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and spoken English, any additional European language skills will be considered a plus .
• Understanding of NGS systems, NGS workflows, and NGS data analysis pipelines are a significant advantage to succeeding in this position.
• At least a bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, biology or a related field is required; an advanced degree in a scientific field or business is a plus.
