  • StringTie Output

    Hello all,

I am an RNA-Seq newbie who is having some issues with the StringTie output. I am currently using StringTie on Galaxy with the -b option so that StringTie will output files appropriate for Ballgown (.ctab files). However, when I check the files created by StringTie they are in .tabular format. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and is there a way to convert from .tabular to .ctab? I've heard of Tablemaker, but it is apparently used on Cufflinks files ...

    Help would be much appreciated

".ctab" is a tabular format. Just peek at the files inside Galaxy and make sure they look like what's described here: https://github.com/alyssafrazee/ball...ression-output

Edit: BTW, you'll find the Galaxy support site (https://biostar.usegalaxy.org/) useful for questions like this.

Thanks for your reply! I had a look inside the files and they were all fine. I think the problem was with the file name extension, but after changing that, Ballgown read the files.

        Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
        by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
