The OHS2 reagent used in the first step of the TruSight Myeloid panel from Illumina is very difficult to dissolve. It's also the first step of the protocol so it really delays the start time spending time letting it warm to room temp and then votexting it for more than 5 minutes straight. I still have flaky looking crystals.
Illumina notes that this reagent will precipitate and says to make sure it's dissolved before proceeding. Their tech support has no additional information about storing it long term at 4C or heating to dissolve the crystals more quickly.
Is anyone heating it or using different storage conditions and still having continued success of the kit?
Thanks!
