Default Can edgeR CPM be used like FPKM to represent a gene expression level in a figure?

Hi, every one,
I'd like drawing a figure like the following one:

Can I draw the figure using CMP instead of FPKM?

Thanks a lot!!!

Richard

I guess you mean CPM.

CPM does not compensate for gene length (total exon length), which FPKM does.

You can use CPM for the same gene in different conditions, but if you compare different genes, it can be misleading due to different gene lengths (longer genes will look higher expressed).

Correct me if Im wrong.
