  • MiSeq Thumbnail images not appearing

I have noticed recently that the thumbnail images for each run is largely unavailable to view from the MiSeq Analysis viewer. The 'MiSeq Output and Analysis Folders Quick Reference Card' states that as these images don't require secondary analysis they do not end up in the Analysis folder and I think it's from this folder that the MiSeq Analysis viewer is trying to draw from.

The thumbnail images from cycle 1 is in the Analysis folder but none of the images from the other cycles.

All the other cycle thumbnail images are present, but in the output folder.

Has anyone come across this? Should the images actually be in the analysis folder or is the MiSeq trying to access the wrong folder?

All thoughts are welcome, thank you!

The thumbnails are only in the Output Folder. And this is the only difference between Output and Analyse folder.

So if you are interested in viewing the thumbnails within the MiSeq Analysis Viewer you have to point him to the Output Folder.

Recent Advances in Sequencing Analysis Tools
      by seqadmin

The sequencing world is rapidly changing due to declining costs, enhanced accuracies, and the advent of newer, cutting-edge instruments. Equally important to these developments are improvements in sequencing analysis, a process that converts vast amounts of raw data into a comprehensible and meaningful form. This complex task requires expertise and the right analysis tools. In this article, we highlight the progress and innovation in sequencing analysis by reviewing several of the...

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...
