  • Hi-C based genome scaffolding, phasing, and metagenomic devoncolution

Phase Genomics has pioneered the use of Hi-C for the assembly of genomes and metagenomes. We originally published our first assemblies in 2013, and have been offering genome assembly and Hi-C services since 2015. We offer easy to use Hi-C kits for plants, animals, human and microbiome samples, as well as a diverse range of services for other projects, including haplotype resolved genome phasing, as well as TAD calling.

Here are some publications that feature our work: Sugar Beat, Stickleback, Goat, Amaranth, Black Raspberry, Nemo, Bee and Firefly.

We've also applied Hi-C to metagenomic samples, enabling the de novo assembly of hundreds of microbial genomes without the need for culturing. We can also link plasmids and phages to their host organisms, and assign genes to their species of origin. You can read about our published works on the cow rumen microbiome, and human gut microbiome.

We hope we can be of use to your project, please visit https://phasegenomics.com/ for more information.

    Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
    by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
