Hi,
got a project here for which we assembled a draft genome from typical Illumina PE/MP data. However, the collaborator also dug up several BAC sequences (up to 400kb). My question is thus whether any software exists that can e.g. merge the SOAP assembly with the BAC sequences? Or assemble both types of data together from scratch? I came across the "Atlas assembler", but that project hasn't been worked on for over a decade, so probably not what I want. Any other options around?
Regards,
Marc
