Hey guys.
Been trying to run MetaVelvet-SL, but having trouble with memory usage. To be specific, I can't seem to get it to run even with 128 gb of memory.
A few specifics:
1.) I am trying to assemble around 30 million sequences.
2.) They've gone through the first two steps fine.
3.) I'm at the chimeric node step, and my code is just: 'meta-velvete [dir]', which is just the command and the directory where everything is stored. I leave everything else to be preset.
This is the error I keep on getting: 'No more memory for memory chunk!'
I guess firstly, do anyone else run into this problem with Metavelvet-SL? Secondly, anyone found a way to reduce mem usage? Even with the test sample from the MetaVelvet-SL website (HMP-small), it was already using like 16 gb of memory.
I've tried contacting the authors directly, but no answer yet.
