  • SRA and ERA

Does anybody has experience submitting to NCBI/EMBL's SRA/ERA reads from 454, Illumina, or other Next Generation Sequencing Technologies? I appreciate any help to elaborate what values I should fill in a few places in the required submission XML files where the documentations are not really helpful.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
We have submitted Illumina reads to the NCBI SRA. We did not create XML files directly - we used the online web forms to fill in the Study/Experiment/Sample/Run entries, then uploaded the reads.tar.gz to the anonymous FTP site. The NCBI staff were very helpful over email.

Is there any PARTICULAR fields you need help filling in?
