String Protein-Protein Interactions

Hello,

Does String (http://string-db.org/) protein interaction analyses provide any information on the connectivity to a second list of genes?

For example,

If I provide a custom geneset for the background, are the p-values for protein interactions saying that my genes have more connections than my custom background?
OR
That my genes have significant interactions with the background genes?
