Anyone know whether Epicentre 'an Illumina company' is discontinuing all 454 Nextera library products now that they are selling an updated Illumina version directly? Could not find any info on either site about it.

From our sales rep: "I was able to confirm to day that this kit is being discontinued as of May 2012. The final decision was made yesterday and an email will be sent to all of the customer base within the next day or two. Regards..."
And probably the protocol is patented so no other company can take up the slack. ![]() |

Nextera DNA Sample Prep Kits (Roche 454-Compatible) will be available for sale through Epicentre Customer Service until May 31, 2012, with final shipments required by June 30, 2012. This transition period will allow existing customers using these kits to complete ongoing projects without interruption.
