Hi everyone.
I was wondering whether anyone is familiar with any paper(s) discussing the design of de-novo sequencing projects and the expected outcome. I mean: what insert sizes do I need, how many inserts from each size, how many contigs and scaffolds are expected (at least in theory, something like the Lander-Waterman model) etc. We plan to sequence a long genome (~120mbp) on a GAIIx machine, but the question is also general. Thanks, Itai |
