We are seeking a Senior Computational Biologist (UTS position title: Senior Lecturer) and a Postdoctoral Bioinformatics Scientist to expand our scientific programme in microbial genomics. In this position you will be responsible for extracting and managing data from the high-throughput sequencing pipeline (Illumina HiSeq, MiSeq and 454 based at UTS and the Ramaciotti centre (http://www.ramaciotti.unsw.edu.au/).
In addition to supporting microbial genome and RNA-Seq projects, analysis of TraDIS data sets will be required (Simultaneous assay of every Salmonella Typhi gene using one million transposon mutants, Langridge et. al., Genome Res. 2009 Dec;19(12):2308-16).
