I am doing a ChIP experiment for H3K9me3 marks in HEK293T cells. We have the ChIP grade Ab for H3K9me3 but didn't order ab for isotype control. We have some secondary abs accessible can we use them to control for IP?
If yes, which one from the following would be a better IGG control, by better I meant that will give us the minimum background for our ChIP?
a) Alexa Fluor® 568 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG Antibody (polyclonal)
b) Alexa Fluor® 488 Goat anti-mouse IgG (minimal x-reactivity) Antibody (polyclonal)
c) Alexa Fluor® 488 Donkey anti-rabbit IgG (minimal x-reactivity) Antibody (polyclonal)
Thank you!
