  • Shopping for HiSeq run

Hello all- I'm trying to do some research to find the best deal to get whole genome sequencing done with HiSeq paired-end 2x100bp. I've already read over this list at science exchange, but the lack of standardization between institutions makes the process of price comparison needlessly arduous.

Is anyone aware of an institution with an external seq (that's sequencing only; no prep, no bioinformatics) pricetag <$2500? Working in a brand-new academic lab and trying to save a couple hundred dollars. Any advice is very appreciated! Thanks!

Wow. Cannot believe that none of my searches returned either of these. 1000 thanks GenoMax, you really just turned my day around.

        Hi NYGen,

In case you're still looking for HiSeq 2x100 services. Notice that 2x125 HiSeq V4 services are available too.

          Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
          by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
