  • New NEXTflex Rapid DNA-Seq Kit Offers Two-Hour NGS Library Construction from 1 ng DNA

The NEXTflex™ Rapid DNA-Seq Kit allows researchers to build sequencing -ready libraries from as little as 1 ng of DNA in two hours or less for sequencing on Illumina’s sequencing platforms. This kit is ideal for use with genomic DNA, as well as FFPE samples, ChIP DNA and clinical samples.

The NEXTflex Rapid DNA-Seq Kit offers the flexibility to use between 1 ng - 1 µg of input DNA. A bead-based, gel-free size selection protocol eliminates the need for agarose gels in size selection, and the availability of up to 96 unique adapter barcodes facilitates high-throughput applications. The NEXTflex Rapid DNA-Seq Kit incorporates “Enhanced Adapter Ligation Technology”, which facilitates ligation of long adapters, resulting in longer and more diverse sequencing reads. Bioo Scientific’s NEXTflex Ligation and Polymerase reaction mixes ensure the highest quality libraries for superior performance.

I would like to get documentation of the index (barcode) sequences for the NEXTFlex kits but I don't want to end up on your company's mailing list for life. Why do you require potential customers give up all their contact information just to get access to simple product literature?

      Enhanced Adapter Ligation Technology

Study results in the white paper, Optimizing Library Preparation: Enhanced Adapter Ligation Technology, demonstrate the superior ligation efficiency of the NEXTflex Rapid DNA-Seq Kit for creating NGS libraries for Illumina®-compatible sequencing.

Bioo Scientific offers up to 96 unique adapters for multiplexing Illumina-compatible RNA libraries. These NEXTflex RNA-Seq Barcodes are compatible with our NEXTflex Rapid RNA-Seq and NEXTflex Rapid Directional RNA-Seq Kits. The indexes are composed of a 6 nt error-correcting sequence, offering an improved multiplex workflow and adding flexibility to library prep. They are available in sets of 6, 12, 24, 48 and 96 unique adapters.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
          by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
