Example 16S profiling papers with faults in their study design

Hello dear folks,

I know ... this is a weird request. But it's all in the spirit of good science education

I am trying to find 16S microbiome papers, with (noticeable) faults in their study design. Maybe you came across one recently?

My students are designing their own microbiome projects and having them see the difference between a well- and not-so-well designed study should help them out along the way.
