Hi There,
Can anyone help me finding an article/study where effect of %AT content has been related to the shearing efficiency. I sheared Lambda and Plasmodium DNA with same settings. Surprisingly, Plasmodium sheared much faster. Also, I got a wavy slope towards lower base pairs in Plasmodium as compared to Lambda DNA. I am attaching the bioanalyzer curves of both DNA here. Can anyone help me in explaining this behavior. I know that Plasmodium DNA has 80%AT content compared to Lambda (50%).
