  • Current AmpliSeq Custom Panel Production Time?

    Hello everyone,
I have asked all my sales reps and no one can give me a straight answer so I thought I would poll the community. What is the current production time on your AmpliSeq Custom Panels?

We are planning to start ordering many panels - each with about 100 targets. I would like to know how long it will take to produce them.

I welcome any and all thoughts about the AmpliSeq custom panels.

    Thanks!

Hi LindsayS, In my experience with a couple of panels (as well as some other groups who I have sequenced panels for) it seems to take ~2-3 weeks to have a custom panel delivered.

Thanks so much! That is a much better time frame than what I thought.
      Happy Monday!

        Hi Linda
I'm working with a Custom Ampliseq Panel too, just be careful with the sample, I'm having a lot of troubles with this panel, because my samples are FFPE DNAs. And because of its degradation the panel doesn't amplify all the regions that I want, and the readings aren't good quality

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

          Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
          by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
